Problem Note 54990: "ERROR: The file Tlib.LongTableName has too long a member name for the Tlib library" might occur when using SAS/ACCESS® Interface to Teradata
The following message might occur when you attempt to read from a Teradata table that has a table name longer than 30 characters:
ERROR: The file Tlib.LongTableName has too long a member name for the Tlib library
The error occurs when you use a Teradata server that is version 14 or later. Teradata server 14 and later support table names greater than 30 characters, but the maximum length currently supported by the SAS/ACCESS Interface to Teradata is 30 characters. (Prior to Teradata version 14, the table name length was limited to 30 characters.)
This issue has been fixed in SAS/ACCESS Interface to Teradata 9.4 M3, which supports table and column names up to 32 characters.
